Cheonsuman is the bay formed between the west coast of Chungnam Province and Anmyeon island and officially located at Chang-ri, Buseok-myeon, Seosan city. Once known as one of the most suitable places for raising due to the shallow depth of water, it has been changed a 155,000ha-wide agricultural land with fresh water as a result of the large scale reclamation of 1980s. This reclamation which used an oil tanker to stop water, gave birth to extensively spacious ground including GanWol lake(Site A), Bunam lake(Site B), swampy land, cultivated land.

The prevailing westerliesare strong because it is located close to West sea, and the monthly mean temperature of October to March is 4.8¡É with the highest of 12.8¡É in Oct. and the lowest of -0.3¡É in Jan. which is averagely about 4¡É lower than Junam lake or Nakdong river where a number of winter migrant birds have stayed for passing the winter. Additionally, this place is about 1~2¡É higher than inland with the same latitude because of oceanic climate.
